1. Booking and acceptance

A website order is a request for the selected services. A booking is accepted when Pooch Patrol confirms it or begins performance. Acceptance may be refused where the service area, schedule, pet information, behaviour, welfare needs or safety requirements cannot reasonably be accommodated.

2. Customer information

The customer must provide complete and accurate contact, access, pet, medical, behavioural, veterinary and emergency information. Material changes must be reported promptly. Pooch Patrol may pause or cancel care where important information has been withheld or becomes inaccurate.

3. Meet and greet and suitability

A meet and greet may be required before the first service. Group walking is subject to suitability and compatible behaviour. Pooch Patrol may move a dog to solo care, decline off-lead exercise or stop a service where this is reasonably necessary for safety or welfare.

4. Equipment and identification

Dogs must have legally compliant identification and suitable, well-maintained walking equipment. The customer should disclose escape risks and provide any specifically required harness, coat, muzzle or other equipment.

5. Health and veterinary care

The customer must disclose illness, injury, parasites, allergies, medication and veterinary restrictions. In an emergency, Pooch Patrol may contact the customer, emergency contact or veterinary practice and take reasonable steps to protect the animal. Unless caused by Pooch Patrol’s breach of duty, the customer remains responsible for veterinary and related expenses.

6. Keys and access

Keys, access codes and entry instructions will be used only for the agreed service and handled with reasonable care. The customer must ensure lawful and safe access, functioning locks and any alarm instructions. The customer should not attach identifying address information to keys.

7. Service times and duration

Appointment times are scheduled windows and may be affected by traffic, earlier appointments, emergencies or animal welfare needs. Unless expressly stated, travel and collection arrangements may form part of the scheduled service. Pooch Patrol will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays.

8. Weather and safety

Routes, duration or activities may be adapted during heat, ice, storms, flooding, poor air quality or other unsafe conditions. Welfare takes priority. A walk may be replaced by a shorter toilet break or home-based care where reasonable.

9. Prices and payment

Prices shown at checkout apply to the booking selected. Mileage, additional pets and multiple occurrences may change the total. Payment is due through the available checkout method unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing.

10. Cancellations and refunds

The separate Booking and Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms and explains notice periods, series bookings, refunds, no-access appointments and provider cancellations.

11. Customer responsibility

The customer remains responsible for their pet, property and compliance with legal requirements. They must take reasonable steps to prevent foreseeable harm, disclose any bite or aggression history and ensure that household members understand the scheduled access arrangements.

12. Liability

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or breach of statutory rights. Subject to that, Pooch Patrol is not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable, arise from inaccurate instructions, pre-existing conditions, defective customer equipment, unavoidable animal behaviour or events outside reasonable control.

13. Photos and marketing

Photographs or videos will only be used for public marketing where appropriate permission has been obtained. Operational images used to update the customer or document an incident may be retained as part of the service record.

14. Complaints

Concerns should be raised promptly with enough information to investigate. Pooch Patrol will aim to respond fairly and may request supporting information.

15. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable consumer law.
